A bit about me, the artist
My studio sits on Dja Dja Wurrung land in Victoria. Here I work with the environment to create art, be inspired for my garden designs and make a range of homewares for all to enjoy.
All my life I’ve been creating; painting, floristry, gardening and sculpture. The connecting element in my process is nature. My passion revolves around plants and what they bring to us. Plants are important, they exercise our senses, they calm and enliven through fragrance, meaning and taste. Plants let us know when the daylight is increasing, when to expect different animals into the garden, when to plant the next crop and when there’s an anniversary.
My career as an artist has taken me many places, geographically and creatively and has evolved to capture the details of what makes a plant unique. As a florist I’ve helped make the most incredible floral dreams come true. Horticultural planting, propagating and designing have taught me the wonders of the seasons and patience.
With all these elements combined I am excited to share my knowledge, creative processes and inspiration with you all from my studio.
